His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that a Writ, issued for the Election of One Member of the Provincial Council for the District of Picton, has been returned with an endorsement to the effect that

John Creagh Chaytor, Esquire,
has been duly elected.

Crown Lands Office,

Blenheim, 23rd April, 1875.

In accordance with Clause 8 of “The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867,” it is hereby notified that the undermentioned lands have been Reserved under Clause 7 of the said Act:—

All that parcel of land in the District of Kaikoura Suburban, bounded towards the North and East by the Kincaid Run, and Section 47 on the said Run, from the River Waimanarara, to the line of road forming part of the Northern boundary of Section 38 on the said Run; thence by the Northern side of the last-mentioned road to a point in transit with the boundary between Sections 175 and 176, in the said district; thence towards the East by a right line from the last-named point to the Northern side of the road forming the Northern boundary of Sections 173, 174, and 175 in the said district, to the stream before mentioned; thence towards the West by that stream to the starting point.—For protection of River Banks.

All the unsold portion, being part 2, of Section 267, in the District of Kaikoura Suburban, containing about 29 acres.—As a Public Recreation Ground.

WHEREAS the Rent due under a Depasturing License, dated the 1st day of January, 1868, for the Bonapai Run, in the District of Waihopai, in the Province of Marlborough, estimated to contain 1,686 acres, and bounded as described in the said License, has been in arrear since the 1st day of January, 1875:

Now, therefore, I, Cyrus Goulter, the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the said Province, do hereby declare that the said License is forfeited.
