Proclamation fixing Pilotage Rates at the Port of Picton.

PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by Section 12 of “The Marine Act, 1867,” the Governor is empowered to fix the Pilotage Rates which shall be payable at each port not being greater than the rates specified in the Schedule to the said Act: And whereas, in pursuance of Section 6 of the said Act, the Governor by order in Council, did, on the Eighth day of January, 1868, delegate unto the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough and his successors in such office, the said recited power within the said Province:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Penrose Seymour, the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, do hereby fix at the following Pilotage Rates to be paid at the Port of Picton, in the said Province, that is to say:-

For each vessel whose register tonnage shall not exceed 400 tons, the sum of Threepence per Ton.

For each vessel whose register tonnage shall exceed 400 tons, the sum of Twopence per Ton.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, this ninth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
