In the matter of the “Sales for Non-payment of Rates Act, 1862.”

NOTICE is hereby given, that in pursuance of orders of this honourable Court made the Sixteenth day of October, 1874, the several parcels of land described in the schedule hereto will be sold by public auction at the Town of Picton in the Province of Marlborough, on Thursday the 25th day of February, 1875, at 12 o’clock at Noon, by such Licensed Auctioneers as the Deputy Registrar of the said Court at Blenheim shall appoint, for the purpose of raising and paying the costs and expenses of proceedings under the “Sale for Non-payment of Rates Act, 1862,” in respect of the said several parcels of land respectively and of such sale, and after payment thereof then for the purpose of paying such arrears of rates as are specified in certain memorials which have been exhibited to the said Court in respect of the said parcels of land respectively, together with interest thereon at the rate of ten pounds per centum per annum, computed from the time at which the said several rates became due, and also the amount of costs recovered in the Resident Magistrate’s Court holden at Picton, in respect of the said several parcels of land respectively.
