District of Clarence. Extent —

son's Head; and thence towards the East by high-water mark, Queen Charlotte Sound, to the starting point in Torea Moua Bay, excepting "The Ravenscliff Gold Field," all the freehold lands, Native and other reserves, and lands held under Departure Licences and Leases, within the aforesaid boundaries.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this Eighth day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim.

THE following Byelaw of the Council of the Borough of Blenheim is published in accordance with Clause 191 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867."

BYELAW No. 3

Of the Borough of Blenheim, made under and in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867."

The Council of the Borough of Blenheim ordain as follows, that is to say:—

"Every person who shall wilfully obstruct any street or footway by standing or reclining thereon, or on the kerbing, railings, or fences thereof, shall forfeit a sum not exceeding forty shillings for every such obstruction."

District of Kaikoura Suburban, part (42 acres) of Section 271 and Section 272.

DECISIONS in favor of the following applicants for Departuring Licences and a Departuring Lease, have been given in accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867":—

For Licenses.

CHARLES COCKBURN SCHAW.—District of Queen Charlotte Sound—Arapawa Island. Estimated extent—1500 acres. Boundaries not to be definitely settled until a plan of the land applied for has been sent in.

THOMAS LOOMS.—District of Kaituna Valley. Estimated extent—under 3000 acres. Land applied for to go to auction, and land selected in payment for public works to be excluded.

For a Lease.

JAMES CARTER and THOMAS CARTER.—District of Clarence. Extent about 5,900 acres.
