Blenheim, September 19th, 1871.
IN accordance with the provisions of Clause XXIX. of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” it is hereby notified that at the expiration of two months from this date his Honour the Superintendent, by virtue of the powers delegated to him in that behalf, will issue Gold Mining Leases of the undermentioned blocks of land, within the limits of the Wairau Gold Fields, to the following persons—
E. O’Mahoney, Thomas Walsh, and others, known as The Marlborough Golden Crown Company—A block of land in Onamalutu Valley, in the district of North Bank of Wairau, being 13 acres 3 roods.
Charles J. Greenlaw and others, known as The Morning Star Company—13 acres 3 roods 25 perches, being block No 1, south of lease to E. O’Mahoney and Welsh.
William Douslin, Wm. Anderton, and others, known as The Evening Star Company—9 acres, being block No 1, north of lease to E. O’Mahoney and Welsh.
James Gorrie and others, known as The Marlborough Caledonian Company—6 acres 2 roods, being block No 2, north of lease to E. O’Mahoney and Walsh.

One bay Glancer-looking filly, with white star on forehead, but no visible brand.
If not claimed and expenses paid within twenty-one days from the above date the same will be sold on the 2nd October.
