it to be notified that

EDWARD TENNYSON CONOLLY, Esquire,
has resigned his office of Member of the
Executive Council.

PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor Arthur Penrose Sey-
mour, Esquire, Superintendent of
the Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by the 14th Clause of
"The Dog Nuisance Abatement
Act, 1863," it is enacted that when a ma-
jority of the resident electors of any electoral
district shall in writing signify to the
Superintendent their request to that effect,
such district shall by proclamation be
brought under the provisions of the said
Act: And whereas a majority of the resi-
dent electors of the district of Blenheim
have so signified their request.

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Penrose Sey-
mour, Esquire, Superintendent of the Pro-
vince of Marlborough, do hereby proclaim
and decree that the district of Blenheim
shall on and after the 1st day of September,
1871, be subject to the provisions of the
Dog Nuisances Abatement Act, 1863.

Given under my hand, and issued
under the public seal of the Province
of Marlborough, this 7th day of
August, 1871.
