Blenheim, 29th October, 1869.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of his Honor the Superintendent to introduce into the Provincial Council at its next sitting a Bill to authorise the compulsory taking of land under the "Provincial Compulsory Land Taking Act, 1866," for the purpose of making a road through the district of Wairau West from the Opawa Bridge, Blenheim, to the Wairau Ferry; and it is also hereby notified that Plans and Books of reference, showing the land proposed to be taken, coloured PINK, have been deposited with the Speaker of the Council, the Commissioner of Crown Lands, and Mr Hathaway, Wairau Ferry.
