PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand.
In accordance with the provisions of
Clause XVII of the Education Act,
Session XI., No. 4, I hereby appoint a
meeting of the Ratepayers of the District
of Blenheim, on Saturday, the 30th day of
January, instant, at noon, for the purpose
of electing three resident householders to
be the Local Committee for the said District, under the said Act.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Province of Marlborough, at
Blenheim, this eighteenth day
of January, One thousand eight
hundred and sixty-nine.

His Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified that a Writ issued
for the election of a member for the Provincial Council for the Electoral District
of Upper Wairau has been returned, with
a certificate to the effect that
Edmund Paul,
of Wairau, Freeholder,
has been duly elected.
