PROCLAMATION.
By Joseph Ward, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the fourteenth clause of "The Dog Nuisance Abatement Act, 1863," it is enacted that when a majority of the resident Electors of any District shall, in writing, signify to the Superintendent their request to that effect, he shall then proclaim such District to come under the provisions of the said Act;
And whereas a majority of the resident Electors of the District of Havelock have so signified their request.
Now therefore I, Joseph Ward, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, do hereby proclaim and declare that the District of Havelock shall, on and after the 1st of August, 1868, be subject to the provisions of "The Dog Nuisance Abatement Act, 1863."
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Blenheim, in the said Province, this seventh day of July, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

IT is hereby notified for general information that
H. A. Inglis, Esquire,
of Kincaid, Kaikoura, has been elected to a seat in the Provincial Council of this Province, which had become vacant by the resignation of Thomas Redwood, Esq., of Vernon, Lower Wairau.
