PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the fourteenth clause
of "The Dog Nuisance Abatement
Act, 1863," it is enacted that when a
majority of the resident Electors of any
District shall, in writing, signify to the
Superintendent their request to that effect,
he shall then proclaim such District to
come under the provisions of the said Act:
And whereas a majority of the resident
electors of the District of Picton have so
signified their request.
Now therefore I, William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of
Marlborough, do hereby proclaim and de-
clare that the District of Picton shall, on
and after the 18th of October, 1867, be
subject to the provisions of "The Dog
Nuisance Abatement Act, 1863."
Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Province of Marlborough, at
the Superintendent's Office,
Blenheim, in the said Province,
this twelfth day of October,
One thousand eight hundred
and sixty-seven.
