IT is hereby notified for general information, that a Writ for the Election of one Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of the Town of Picton in the Province of Marlborough, has been returned, with a certificate to the effect that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the said Council for the said district:—

HEREBY give notice that any person Cutting Timber on Crown Land, whether held under a Depasturing License or not, (unless such person have a Special License for the purpose, signed by me,) will be prosecuted under the "Crown Lands Act, 1862."

HEREBY give notice that the License of the Benhopai Run, formerly held by Robert Johnson and Charles Canning; And the License of the Ram’s Head Run, formerly held by Hugh Frazer, having been declared forfeited on account of non-payment of rent, the whole of the Crown Land within the boundaries of the said Runs will be offered to be let by public Auction for fourteen years, on Wednesday the Twenty-eighth day of August next, at the Survey Office, Blenheim, in accordance with the Land Regulations of 1st July, 1856.
