A PROCLAMATION

Defining the limits of the Port of Havelock.

By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the "Marine Board Act, 1863," power is given to the Superintendent of each province to define the limits of any Port within such province for the purposes of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient that the limits of the Port of Havelock in the province of Marlborough should be so defined:

Now therefore, I, William Henry Eyes, the Superintendent of the said province, do hereby appoint and declare that from the date hereof, the Port of Havelock aforesaid shall for the purposes of the said Act be within the limits and shall consist of that part of the Pelorus Sound on the South side of a line drawn from Wata-nihi Point to Putahua Point.

Given under my hand at the Superintendent’s Office, Blenheim, this eighteenth day of May, in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.
