PROVINCE OF MARLBOROUGH.

APPLICATION for a Depasturage License,

Crown Lands Office, Picton,
20th March, 1865.

in accordance with the Land Regulations of 1st July, 1856, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, on the 16th instant:—

Williams Brothers.

District—Clarence.

Boundaries — Commencing to the Northward at a point on the summit of the inland Kai Koura range, and running in a parallel line to our last application until it reaches the North-eastern corner of the run licensed to W. Atkinson; thence by the Eastern boundary of the said run to Lake M’Rae; thence by Lake M’Rae to the source of the Western branch of the river Elliott; thence by the said river to the Northern boundary of the run licensed to George Williams; thence by the said boundary to the river Gloucester; thence by the Eastern boundary of the run licensed to W. Atkinson to Lake M’Rae.

Estimated Extent—Under 10,000 acres.

Deposit Paid—£15.

ALTERATION OF ROADS.

I THE UNDERSIGNED, hereby give notice that I intend to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace, at a sitting to be held on Monday, 1st May, 1865, at the Court House, Picton, for an Order for STOPPING UP, DIVERTING, and MAKING the undermentioned Roads; and further, that I will cause Survey Plans of the several roads proposed to be stopped up, substituted, and made together with the books of reference and estimates, to be deposited on or before the 1st April, 1865, with the Clerk to the Magistrates, Picton.

TO STOP UP,

Part of a road in the Kaituna District, being the road laid down on the plan leading from the Wairau River through the Waikakaho Valley, and which is shown by green color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:—

The portion of the road commencing from a public road at the S.E. corner of section 115, and crossing sections numbered respectively 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, and terminating at the western boundary of section 118.

AND TO SUBSTITUTE

And make in the place thereof, certain other portions of a road 100 links in width, and which is shown by pink color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:—

The portion of road commencing from a public road at the S.E. corner of section 115, thence following the base of the hills crossing over section 115 till it meets a public road, thence along the said public road to the base of the hills, thence following the foot of the hills to the termination of section 118.
