PROCLAMATION.
Reserving and withdrawing for the purposes of Sale certain Waste Lands of the Crown, situate in the Pelorus Gold Field.
By His Honor Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough.
WHEREAS it is expedient that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved and withdrawn for the purposes of sale: Now, therefore, I, Arthur Penrose Seymour, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that I do reserve and withdraw, for the purpose of sale, the lands hereinafter described, that is to say:
—All that portion of the Town of Havelock, now within the limits of the Pelorus Gold Field; and also all those Sections or Allotments of Land, numbered respectively 1 to 27, inclusive, and 138, 139, 140, and 141, on the Record Map of Havelock Suburban.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Marlborough, at Picton, this Tenth day of February, 1865.

PROCLAMATION.
By Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough.
IN pursuance of the power vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, to declare any House, Building, Enclosure, or place, to be a Public Gaol within such province, I do hereby proclaim and declare that the Two Cells, numbered respectively 1 and 2, together with the Day-room, in the Building known as a Lock-up in the Town of Blenheim, in the said Province of Marlborough, shall be a Public Gaol.

Licence in accordance with the Land Regulations of 1st July 1865, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands on the 10th instant.

Boundaries—North by the waters of a bay lying south of Taawawa Point; thence on the West and South by the sea coast to the mouth of a stream in a bay opposite a point forming the eastern entrance to Broughton Bay; thence towards the East by a right line bearing north-west till it intersects the mouth of a stream in the same bay that forms the northern boundary as shown on the sketch.
Estimated extent—About 7000 acres.
Deposit paid—£15.
