PROCLAMATION

By His Honor, A. P. Seymour, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough.

The Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, by virtue of the powers vested in me do hereby declare that the undermentioned districts are hereby constituted Licensing Districts within the provisions of the Licensing Act, Sess. X. No. VI., 1864, from the day and date hereof:—

PICTON DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the south by a right line from White’s Bay to a wooded peak on the Raydale Run, thence following the range to Cullen’s Point, thence following the coast line to Tamar Creek and thence following the dividing range between the Pelorus and Queen Charlotte’s Sound to Cape Jackson, thence by the sea to White’s Bay, including the islands.

HAVELOCK DISTRICT.

Bounded by a straight line from the wooded peak above mentioned to the head of the Okoramio Valley, thence by the Okoramio Stream to its junction with the Kaituna, thence by a line drawn due west until it strikes the boundary of the gold-fields, thence along the boundary of the gold-fields to the boundary of the Province, thence following the boundary of the Province to Cape Jackson.

CLARENCE DISTRICT

Shall be the same as that described as the Petty Sessional District of Clarence.

BLENHEIM DISTRICT

Shall comprise all that portion of the Province which is not mentioned in any of the districts above mentioned.

Given under my hand and issued under the seal of the Province of Marlborough at Picton this 3rd day of January, 1865.
