PROCLAMATION.

Superintendent’s Office, Picton,
23rd October, 1865.

By His Honor William Henry Eyes, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough.

WHEREAS, Cyrus Goulter, Esquire, Speaker of the Provincial Council of Marlborough, did, on the 23rd day of October, 1865, declare and notify, that I, William Henry Eyes, was duly elected by a majority of the Provincial Council of Marlborough, Superintendent of the said Province.

Now, therefore, I do hereby proclaim and declare that I have assumed the Office of Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough accordingly, and I hereby call upon the inhabitants of the said Province, to aid and assist me therein.

IT is hereby notified for general information that

Cyrus Goulter, Esq.,

was duly elected Speaker of the Provincial Council of Marlborough, on Monday, the 23rd day of October, 1865.
