APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Arthur Penrose Seymour
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Marlborough in the Colony of New
Zealand.
I, ARTHUR PENROSE SEYMOUR,
Superintendent of the Province of Marl-
borough, do hereby, in virtue of the power vested
in me in this behalf by the Superintendent’s
Deputy Act, 1856, of the General Assembly of
New Zealand, proclaim and appoint
Courtenay William Alymer Thomas Kenny,
Esquire,
of Picton, to be my Deputy, and as such, to per-
form and exercise all such acts and powers as by
the said Act I am empowered to confer upon a
Deputy.
Given under my hand, and issued under the
Public Seal of the Province of Marl-
borough, this 12th day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

His Honor the Superintendent directs
It is to be notified that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the
Crown, within the Province of Marlborough, as
hereinafter described, has been reserved for
various purposes of public utility in connection
with the improvement of the Port of Havelock.
All that piece or parcel of Land adjoining
the Town of Havelock, bounded to-
wards the South and West by the
boundary line of the said town, towards
the North and East by lines enclosing a
block of land averaging about 1500
links in width, facing the frontage of the
said town, and again towards the South
by the Section No. 3 in the District of
Kaituna Valley. Estimated extent, 185
acres.
