PROVINCE OF MARLBOROUGH.
Crown Lands Office, Picton,
18th July, 1865.
In accordance with the provisions of the Land Regulations in force in this Province, I do hereby notify and declare that the undermentioned Licences are forfeited through non-compliance with the said Regulations; and I shall let the Runs, to which the said Licences relate by Public Auction (whereof one month’s notice shall be given) to the highest bidder for a term of fourteen years, subject to the conditions of the said regulations—
The Pasture Occupation Licence, dated 27th May, 1861, made out in the name of Donald McCormick for a run of five thousand five hundred and fifty acres in Queen Charlotte Sound, known as the Kibride Run, and bounded as follows:—
On the North by Queen Charlotte Sound, native reserves and freehold land; on the east by Hitawa Native Reserve; on the west by the eastern boundary of Waikawa native reserve; and on the South by a line drawn from Hitawa Native Reserve along the high wooded ranges and across to Waikawa Native Reserve.
The Pasture Occupation Licence, dated 27th May, 1861, made out in the name of Thomas Dickson Nicholson for a run of four thousand four hundred and fifty acres in Queen Charlotte Sound, known as the May Bank Run, and bounded as follows:—
On the North and North-west by the south-west arm of Queen Charlotte Sound, freehold land, and native reserves; on the East by Shakespeare Bay and freehold land; on the West by Slack’s Bay freehold land; and on the South-east, South, and South-west, by a line along the highest wooded ridges.
