Superintendentโ€™s Office,
Picton, September 17th, 1864.

IT is hereby notified for General Information, that a Writ for the Election
of a Member to serve in the Provincial Council of Marlborough, for the District of
Picton, has been returned to me by the Returning Officer, with a certificate that
the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected a member of the Provincial
Council of Marlborough, for the said District of Picton.

PROCLAMATION.

William Douglas Hall Baillie,
hereby declare and notify that
Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esq., was duly
elected Superintendent of the Province of
Marlborough, on the 5th September, 1864.

Given under my hand this Fifth day
of September, 1864.
