IT is hereby notified, for general information, that in conformity with the 17th clause of the Education Act, Session III., in force in this Province, I have appointed JAMES KILGOUR, ESQ., M.D., as Inspector of Schools for this Province.

APPLICATION for a DEPASTURING LICENSE, in accordance with the Land Regulations, 1st July, 1856, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, on the 15th December, 1862.

John Octavius Western. District — Pelorus Sound.
Boundaries—East by Robert Blaymire’s western boundary, for 2½ miles North; thence by a line running to the North-west corner of Section No. 13, Ti Mautau a Maui Bay; West and South by sold land and Kenepuru Sound.
Estimated extent—Under 10,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£15.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honour WILLIAM DOUGLAS HAMILTON BAILLIE, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in New Zealand.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, Session III., No. 1, I hereby notify that I have appointed MONDAY, the 26th day of January next, at Eleven o’clock in the Forenoon, for the Nomination and Election of the Members of the Education Board.

Each District will elect a Member, who must be a householder residing in the District.

DISTRICTS. POLLING PLACES.
Picton The Court House.
Blenheim The School House.
Renwick Mr. Moore’s House.
Wairau Valley Mr. Ocklay’s House.
Spring Creek The School House.

The Education Board will meet at Renwicktown, at Mr. Moore’s House, at 12 o’clock noon, on SATURDAY, 31st inst.
