Since the power of appointing and removing Returning Officers, and also of appointing and establishing Polling Places for the election of the Superintendent or of Members of the Provincial Council of such Province, now, therefore I, Thomas Gore Browne, the Governor of the said Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority, do hereby delegate to Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the said Colony, the above recited powers, to be held and exercised by him from time to time as he shall think fit, so long as he shall hold the said office of Superintendent.
Given under my hand, at the Government House, at Auckland, this twenty-sixth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.

PROCLAMATION.
BY His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Islands of New Zealand.
ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby, in pursuance of the Regulations in this behalf, Proclaim and Notify that the several allotments of land situate in the Tupurupuru Block, in the Wairarapa district, in the Province of Wellington, and specified in the Schedule hereto, except such as may be reserved under the provision hereafter mentioned, will be put up for sale by Public Auction, at the Crown Lands Office, in the Town of Wellington, on Tuesday, the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, at one o’clock in the afternoon.
If at any time during the sale it may appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lands beneficial or expedient for the public service to reserve from sale either of the Sections specified in the said Schedule, or vary the order in which they are to be put up, he is hereby authorised to do so.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this Sixth day of March, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.
