PROCLAMATION
By His Honour WILLIAM DOUGLAS HALL BAILLIE,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Provincial Reserved Bills Act, 1858,” it is provided, whenever any bill shall have passed the Provincial Council of any province, and shall have been reserved by the Superintendent for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon, such bill shall not have any force or authority within the said province until the Superintendent shall signify, either by speech or message to the Provincial Council, or by proclamation in the Government Gazette of the said province, that such bill has been laid before the Governor, and that the Governor has assented to the same:
And whereas the following acts, entitled respectively “An Act to increase the number of Members of the Provincial Council for the Province of Marlborough;” “An Act to repeal an Act to prevent the increase of Thistles, and to make other provisions in lieu thereof;” “An Act to repeal the Licensing Amendment Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council in the year 1844, and to repeal the Licensing Amendment Act passed by the Provincial Council of the Province of Nelson in the year 1854, and to make other provisions in lieu thereof, and to make provision for preventing drunkenness and disorderly conduct in houses licensed to sell fermented and spirituous liquors;” “An Act to authorize the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand, to raise a Loan not exceeding £4,000;” and “An Act to Provide for the Improvement of the Town of Picton,” were passed by the Provincial Council of the Province of Marlborough, but were respectively reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon:
Now, therefore, I, William Douglas Hall Baillie, do hereby proclaim and notify that the above mentioned acts, having been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and the Governor having assented to the same, are, under the provisions of the said recited act of the General Assembly, in full force and authority within the Province of Marlborough from the date of this proclamation.

IT is notified, for general information, that MR. C. B. YARKER has been appointed Deputy-Registrar of Dogs for the Pelorus District under the “Dog Nuisance Abatement Act, 1861.”

HEREBY notify that the undermentioned portion of the Waste Lands of the Crown, within the Province of Marlborough, as hereinafter described, has been reserved for the purpose of a Cemetery.

PROCLAMATION

Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, in the Islands of New Zealand.
THE SUPERINTENDENT of the Province of Marlborough, do hereby proclaim that at noon on TUESDAY, the Fifteenth Day of July next, the Commissioner of Crown Lands for this Province will, at the Crown Lands Office, Picton, in this Province, put up to Auction and offer to Public Competition, under the provisions of the Land Regulations now in force within this Province, the Allotments of Town Land, Rural Land, and Pasture Land, that are specified in the Schedules hereunto annexed, at the upset prices mentioned therein.
Ten per cent. of the Purchase Money to be deposited at the sale, and the remainder within one month, or the deposit forfeited.
Given under my hand, at the Superintendent’s Office, Picton, this Ninth Day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.
