elected a Board of Wardens for the
North Makara Road District, on the 1st
September last.

Hutt Road District No. 6, on the 11th

Pound at Tarangakumu.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Wellington, in the Colony of
New Zealand,
WHEREAS by an Act of the Provin-
cial Council of Wellington Session
III, number 8, intituled “An Act to
Amend and consolidate the law relating
to Cattle Trespass and impounding,” It
is enacted that the Superintendent of the
said Province may from time to time by
Proclamation declare any Pounds to be
or cease to be Public Pounds within the
meaning of the said Act, and may in like
manner appoint, suspend, remove and re-
appoint keepers of such Pounds. Now
therefore I, Isaac Earl Featherston,
Superintendent of said Province, do
hereby proclaim, Mr. Kelly’s Stock Yard
on the Tarangakumu Run, near the Waira-
rapa Lake Ferry, in the Province of
Wellington, aforesaid, to be a public
Pound within the meaning of the said
Act, and that Donald Cormack be the
keeper thereof.\n
Contracts.
Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 18th Nov. 1862.
SEALED TENDERS will be received
at this Office until Thursday, 18th
December next, at 2 o’clock, p.m., from
persons desirous of executing by con-
tract either of the undermentioned ser-
vices for the Provincial Government for
the 12 months ending 31st December,
1863.
Printing.
- Printing the Provincial Government
Gazette, at per sheet, and inserting the
same in one of the local newspapers;
subject to certain conditions of even date
herewith; to be seen at this office.
Printing Official Forms.
- Further particulars may be obtained
at this Office.
Firewood.
- Rates or Manuka, in two feet lengths,
delivered and stacked at the office or
building requiring the supply. Separate
tenders will be required for supplying
the Wellington Gaol.
The Government or the Contractors
will be at liberty to terminate any of the
above Contracts, by giving three months’
notice of their desire to do so.
In the event of any of the Contractors
failing in the terms of their Contract,
the Government to be at liberty to pro-
cure the articles elsewhere, charging
the increased price, if any, to said Con-
tractors.
Each tender for printing the Gazettes,
&c., is expressly to state that it is subject
to the conditions alluded to in section
