APPLICATION for DEPASTURING LICENSE, in accordance with the Land Regulations, 1st July, 1856, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, before the 13th day of November, 1861.

District—Awatere.
Boundaries—The land on Acheron and Saxton Rivers: north, by Snowy Ranges; East, by the summit of dividing range between the Awatere and Acheron Rivers; South, by the run originally applied for by Mr. Thorp; west, by Snowy Mountains.
Estimated extent—under 20,000 acres.
Deposit paid—£30.

It is hereby notified that
JOHN EWART,
Chief Officer of Police, in the Province of Marlborough, has been appointed to institute proceedings for certain offences against the “Arms Act, 1860.”
This appointment bears date from 5th September, 1861.

has been duly elected Superintendent of that Province, under the provisions of the “New Provinces Act, 1858.”
