That the house contain the following rooms, for the sole use of Travellers, &c., viz.: — One good sitting-room, with boarded floor, furnished with proper table and chairs, fire, and lights; two bedrooms with boarded floor, each bedroom to contain at least three boarded bedsteads furnished with clean beds, blankets and sheets, and all other proper and usual chamber accommodation; that travellers be supplied with meals of tea or coffee and meat, also butter or cheese and bread, and all other usual appliances, at one shilling and sixpence each meal; beds one shilling each; stable to be provided, convenient to the house, containing two stalls of sufficient size, with proper manger, rack, and fastenings; good hay to be provided at two shillings for every 14lbs., corn ditto at sixpence per quart, standard weight and measure; constables or messengers from this office, on duty, meals as above 1s. each, lodging free; the above charges to be for ready money only; a list of the above charges to be posted in a conspicuous part of the house.

In default of compliance with any of the above conditions, and notice thereof being given by me to the holder of this license, this license to be void.

Also, as far as regards William Carkill’s license, that he keep a proper ferry boat, and ferry passengers to and from, across the Kaituna Bay, to or from Mr. Collins’ run each way for the charge of sixpence.
