Whereas application has been made to the Lieutenant-Governor of New Ulster for a license to depasture the lands and waste lands of the Crown, situate in the Manukau District, and known by the name of the Karaka Block:
Notice is hereby given, that if any person has any just cause or objection why the license should not be granted, such person may lodge a caveat in writing at this office, on or before Monday, the 26th day of March next.

PUBLIC WORKS.
Tenders for the Erection of a Custom House at New Plymouth.
Tenders will be received at the office of the Colonial Secretary at Auckland, until noon of Wednesday, the 14th day of March next, for the erection of a Custom House at New Plymouth.
Plans and specifications may be seen at the office of the Colonial Secretary, or at the office of the Sub-Inspector of Police at New Plymouth.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS FOR SUPPLIES.
Tenders will be received at the office of the Colonial Secretary at Auckland, until noon of Monday, the 12th day of February next, for the supply of the undermentioned articles required for the public service:
- Fresh Meat... for the use of the troops at Auckland.
- Bread... for the use of the troops at Wellington.
- Milk... for the use of the Hospital at Auckland.
Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Supplies,” and addressed to the Colonial Secretary.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
The beacon on Somes Island, in Wellington Harbour, has been repaired and repainted. Masters of vessels are cautioned to give it a wide berth, as the rocks extend some distance from the shore.

NOTICE.
The Lieutenant-Governor directs it to be notified that the following regulations for the management of the Police Force in the Province of New Ulster will be strictly enforced from the 1st day of March next:
- Members of the Police Force are prohibited from purchasing or receiving in pawn any article from any person whomsoever, without the express permission of the Superintendent of Police.
- No member of the Police Force shall be absent from his station without leave first obtained from the Superintendent of Police.
- Any breach of the above regulations will subject the offender to immediate dismissal.
