Licence for fourteen years of that Run of
about 3900 acres in the Wairau district,
the pasture licence whereof was forfeited by
William Robert Cator, bounded as follows:

North.—The foot of the range of hills
coming down to the sea on the north
side of the Wairau River;

East.—The Government Reserve along
the shore of Cloudy Bay;

South.—The Native reserves and freehold
land on the North side of the Wairau
River;

West.—The freehold land on the Wairau
Plain, near the entrance of the Tua
Marina Valley.

The licence fee of five pounds, and one
half year’s rent must be paid down immediately
after the auction, or the run will be
put up again.

The said Robert William Cator will be
allowed three months from the day of sale
to remove his cattle (if any) off the run.

All other cattle not branded or claimed
and removed within that time, will be con-
sidered the property of the licensee of the
run.

A plan of the run can be seen on application at this office.

HEREBY notify that THURSDAY,
the 1st day of November next, being
the Anniversary of this Province, will be
a PUBLIC HOLIDAY, and that the
Government Offices will be closed upon
that day.

BLENHEIM AND AWATERE ROAD.

Superintendent’s Office, Marlborough,
October 19, 1860.

TENDERS
will be received at this Office,
on or before FRIDAY, the 2nd day
of November next, for making OUTTINGS
at and near the Saddle of Taylor Pass.

Specifications may be seen at this Office,
and on Wednesday, the 31st day of October
instant, Mr. J. O’Sullivan will attend on the
ground to show the work.

Sir,—We the undersigned residents in
this Province, deeming it desirable to sup-
plement the Company of Volunteer Rifles
enrolled at Blenheim, by a body of
Mounted Volunteer Rifles, and considering
that the same should assemble for drill, &c.,
at some central place, thus rendering it
more convenient for any Volunteers residing
at any of the outlying districts to attend,
respectfully request that you would be
pleased to call a Public Meeting for the
enrolment, &c., of such Volunteers at the
Woolpack Inn, Renwick, at such time as
may be, in your opinion, most suitable.

be held at the Woolpack Inn, Renwick
Town, on Wednesday, the 31st day of
October instant, at 11 o’clock in the fore-
noon, for the formation and enrolment of a
company of Mounted Volunteer Rifles.

THE SUPERINTENDENT of the
Province of Marlborough, do hereby
proclaim that at noon of WEDNESDAY,
the 21st Day of November next, the
Commissioner of Crown Lands for this Province
will, at the Crown Land Office, Blenheim,
in this Province, put up to Auction and
offer to Public Competition, under the pro-
visions of the Land Regulations now in
force within this Province, the Allotments
