Estimated extent—Under 10,000 acres.

NOTICE is hereby given, that DECISIONS in favour of the following Applicants for LICENSES to DEPASTURE STOCK have been given in accordance with the provisions of the Land Regulations, 1856 —

IN accordance with the provisions of the Land Regulations now in force in this province, I do hereby notify and declare that the Pastoral Occupation License, dated January 1, 1859, and made out in the name of William Robert Cator, for a Run of four thousand seven hundred acres, in the Wairau District, bounded as follows:
North—The foot of the range of hills coming down to the sea on the North side of the Wairau River;
East—The Government Reserves along the shore of Cloudy Bay;
South—The Wairau River and the Native Reserve; and
West—The surveyed sections on the Wairau Plain, near the entrance of the Tuamarina Valley,
is, through non-compliance with the said Regulations, forfeited; and I shall let the said Run, to which the said License relates, by Public Auction (whereof one month’s notice shall be given), to the highest bidder, for a term of fourteen years, subject to the conditions of the said Regulations.
