All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette with any Official Signature thereto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROVINCE OF MARLBOROUGH.

Superintendent’s Office,
Marlborough, 27th July, 1860.

TENDERS will be received at this Office on or before MONDAY, the 24th September, for the EXECUTION of the following WORKS:—

  • Erecting a Timber Bridge over the Omaka River, at Blenheim, within 150 yards of the head of the Opawa River navigation.
  • Erecting a Timber Bridge over the Tua Marina River, at the Massacre Hill, adjoining the Waitohi Road.
  • Constructing a Punt (for a cart ferry), to be delivered near Mr. Goulard’s, on the Wairau River.

Plans and specifications of the above Works, and Forms of Tender, may be seen at this Office, and at the offices of the Nelson Examiner, Nelson, and the Wellington Independent, Wellington.

No Tenders will be accepted unless approved by the Provincial Engineer.

Marlborough, August 2, 1860.

TENDERS will be received at this Office on or before MONDAY, the 24th instant, for the following WORKS:—

  • Opening a Drain opposite Sections 71 and 70 Omaha District, along the road from the Opawa bank, westward.
  • Opening a Drain from Section 325, Blenheim, for about twenty chains, along the Awatere road.
  • Forming Two Cuttings near Earl’s Accommodation House, Awatere, at the end of the Taylor Pass.
  • Erecting Bridge over Spring Creek at Section 55, Wairau West.
  • Erecting Bridge over Spring Creek at Section 88, Wairau West.
  • Erecting Bridge over Creek, Section 325, Blenheim.

The cuttings at the Awatere will be pointed out on the ground by Mr. John O’Sullivan, on Friday, the 17th instant.

Plans and Specifications of the other works may be seen at this office.
