All public notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any official signature thereunto annexed are to be considered as official communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

Town Clerk’s Office,
Napier, February 3, 1876.

HIS Worship the Mayor begs to give notice that at a meeting of the Municipal Council, to be held on the 2nd March, 1876, he will move—

"That the sum of Ten Thousand Pounds (£10,000) be borrowed, in accordance with "The Napier Municipal Council Empowering and Waterworks Loan Act, 1875," for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the scheme for supplying portions of the Borough of Napier with water, approved of by the Council and that the said sum be borrowed by the Corporation on the security of the rate struck on the 3rd February, 1876; and that the Corporation issue debentures in sums of £100 each with coupons attached, such debentures to be for a period of fourteen years, bearing interest at the rate of 7 per cent. per annum, payable half-yearly; the principal and interest to be payable in cash in London."

PROCLAMATION.

BY JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay aforesaid, do hereby proclaim and notify, that the land described in the annexed Schedule is withdrawn from sale, in pursuance of "The Hawke’s Bay Waste Lands Regulations Amendment Act 1874," from the day of date hereof.

Dated this seventh day of February, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy six.
