NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to petition for leave to bring into the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, at its present session, a Bill intituled “The Municipal Corporations Waterworks Act, 1872,” “Adoption Act, 1875.”
The general object of the Bill is to provide that an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Municipal Corporations Waterworks Act, 1872,” shall be brought into operation within the Province of Hawke’s Bay on and from the first day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

BYE-LAW NO. 1.
BYE-LAW of the Council of the Borough of Napier, made in pursuance of Clause 181 of Part XIII. of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Borough of Napier ordain as follows, that is to say:
The whole of Parts I. to II. inclusive, and the whole of Parts IV. to X. inclusive, (with the exception of Sub-section 3 of Part X. headed “Boats and Boatmen,” of the Thirteenth Schedule to the said Act,) are hereby adopted in and for the said Borough.
Passed by the said Council this twenty-fifth day of May, A.D., 1875.

JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby notify that the names of the Board of Wardens and Chairman elected under the provisions of the “Highways Act, 1871,” of the Meanee District, are as under:
CHAIRMAN — Harvey Sladen.
WARDENS — James Hallett, Thomas Peddie, Edward Davis, Harvey Sladen, and John Barry.
