All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Provincial Reserved Bill Act, 1858,” it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure shall have any force within the Province until the Superintendent shall signify, as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same, and whereas certain Acts intituled—

"The Fencing Act, 1874,"
"The Napier Common School Site Act Repeal Act, 1874,"
"The Diversion of Roads Act, 1874,"
"The Credit Act, 1874,"
"The Representation Act of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, 1874,"
"The Port Ahuriri Bridge Act, 1872, Amendment Act,"
"The Hawke’s Bay Sheep Act, 1874,"
"The Napier Girls’ School Site Act," and
"The Appropriation Act, 1874,"

were passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay during last session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure.

Now, therefore, I, JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the above named Acts have been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and having received his assent are, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke’s Bay from the date of this Proclamation.

Dated this 14th day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
