All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signatures thereunto annexed, are to be considered Official communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in pursuance of the regulations in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and notify, in order to prevent undue monopoly of frontages to the new main road to Taupo, now being made, via Wharerangi, Glengarry, and Pohui, that all Crown Lands in the said province, on the South side of the said road, within half a mile of the said road, shall be reserved from sale until further notice, and also all Crown Lands on the North side of the said road, and adjoining the said road, shall likewise be reserved from sale until further notice.

Dated at Napier this twenty-fourth day of November, in the year of Our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
