JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby notify that the names of the Board of Wardens and Chairmen, elected under the provisions of the “Highways Act, 1871,” of the several districts, are as hereunder specified:—

Havelock District.

Chairman—John Chambers.
Wardens—John Gallaway, George Bee, Thomas Reynolds, Peter M. Hardy, and John Chambers.

Redclyffe District.

Chairman—A. H. Russell.
Wardens—John Bennett, T. Lincoln, Philip Dolbel, Robert Dolbel, and A. H. Russell.

South Ruataniwha District.

Chairman—Alexander St. C. Inglis.
Wardens—John Harding, James Aitchison, Jasper L. Herrick, H. H. Bridge, John Glenny, Alexander St. C. Inglis.

Kereru and Aorangi District.

Chairman—James Lyon.
Wardens—F. Nelson, Hugh Duff, H. W. P. Smith, Thomas Condie, Alfred Williams, and James Lyon.

Papakura District.

Chairman—Alexander M’Hardy.
Wardens—John Orr, John Bulloch, John Parsons, Philip Dolbel, and Alexander M’Hardy.

Meanee District.

Chairman—Henry Stokes Tiffen.
Wardens—E. Davis, Edmund Tuke.

H. Sladen, James Shirley, and H. S. Tiffen.

Clive and Hikutoto District.

Chairman—R. P. Williams.
Wardens—William Orr, John Bennett, H. Hicks, James Boyle, and R. P. Williams.

PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, Session 12, No. 1, it is amongst other things enacted that the Superintendent may from time to time, by Proclamation, appoint Pounds and Poundkeepers at such places as he may think fit, and at any time to annul such appointment and make others.

Now, therefore, I, JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby appoint

Stephen Hunt

Poundkeeper of the Public Pound situate at Waitangi.

Given under my hand and seal of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, this 26th day of August, 1873.
