All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.
By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Provincial Reserved Bill Act, 1858,” it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure shall have any force within the Province until the Superintendent shall signify, as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same.
And whereas an Act intituled “The Napier Swamp Nuisance Act, 1873,” was passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay during last session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure.
Now, therefore, I, JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the abovenamed Act has been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and, having received his assent, is, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke’s Bay, from the date of this Proclamation.
