All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand.

JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby, in virtue of the powers delegated to me in this behalf, proclaim and notify that the birds hereinafter specified shall be deemed to be game, and to come within the provisions of "The Protection of Animals Act, 1867," "The Protection of Animals Act Amendment Act, 1868," and "The Protection of Animals Act, 1872"; that is to say, pheasants, partridges, rooks, jackdaws, thrushes, blackbirds, chaffinches, linnets, larks, yellow-hammers, starlings, and hedge-sparrows.

Dated this 14th day of March, in the year of Our Lord 1873.
