NAME OF BLOCK. COMPLAINANTS. AGAINST WHOM COMPLAINT MADE. NATURE OF COMPLAINT.
Heretaunga Renata Tauihu and two others Grantees Land leased, mortgaged, and sold without consulting outsiders on division of money.
Heretaunga Hohepa Te Ringanohu and eight others Grantees Land sold without consulting outsiders. Beg land be returned.
Ngawhakatatara Hoera Pareihe Lessee Never mortgaged or sold land. Complains cannot get rent.
Mangateretere (West) Nikora Whitingara and Namu Williams, M’Lean, and F. Sutton Dispute alleged mortgage and sale of land. Admit lease to Williams and M’Lean, but having received no rent for several years, they claim that it be set aside. Enquiry asked for into whole transaction about the leasing and alleged mortgaging and sale of this Block. Call for production of all accounts and documents referring to such transactions. Require a settlement of the rents, and that the land be returned to them.
Ngatarawa Henare Matua, for Ropata te Hoa Kakari J. G. Kinross and Hon. Donald M’Lean Disputes all alleged alienations. Requests enquiry, calls for production of all documents and particulars of considerations paid.
Tamaki, or Seventy-Mile Bush Henare Matua, on part of non-sellers Government Requires settlement of rents. Complains surveys were not fully executed as in other cases. Surveyors sent by non-sellers were stopped. The officer deputed to purchase would not stop purchase at request of non-sellers.
Kaokaoroa Pirika Toi and three others Rawenata Tauri Mortgaged land without consent of others.
Kaokaoroa Pene Tipuna F. Sutton Money stopped to pay Henare Tomoana’s debts. Has not sold or mortgaged his share.
Umutuatanga Maika Iwi-katia and six others H. S. Tiffen His land wrongly included in survey of Patangata boundary.
Mangarara Henata te Ao and Henare Matua J. D. Ormond Lease, complains his money stopped to pay Paora Ropiha’s and No. pera Kukianga’s mortgages.
Mangarara Karunamu te Kaipo and Henare Matua J. D. Ormond Lease, complains his money stopped to pay Paora Ropiha and No. pera te Mahue’s mortgages.
Mangarara Rora Otene and Henare Matua J. D. Ormond Lease, complains her money stopped to pay Paora Ropiha’s and No. pera te Mahue’s mortgages.
Taupari Te Kaaho, Te Waaka, Te Hapuku, Keremeneta, Hakaraia, Huniona, Pukepuke, Urupene Puhara, and others Rev. S. Williams, Te Aute Complains this land at Te Aute was granted for a school. Has been handed over to Hon. R. Stokes. Begs matter looked into, and land returned.
