IT is hereby notified for general information that His Excellency the Governor has proclaimed THURSDAY, the ninth day of May next, as a general holiday and day for a public thanksgiving to God for the restoration of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales to health; and invites the clergy and ministers of religion of all denominations, and all others of Her Majesty’s subjects in New Zealand, to observe that day accordingly.

By the Superintendent and the Council for the Province of Wellington, Session 2, to the Governor.

If at any time during the sale it may appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lands beneficial or expedient for the public service to reserve from sale either of the sections specified in the said Schedule, or to vary the order in which they are to be put up, he is hereby authorised to do so.

PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim that a sale of Crown Lands will take place at the Crown Lands Office, Napier, on WEDNESDAY, the nineteenth day of June, 1872, at noon precisely, when the allotments of land specified in the Schedule hereunto annexed (except such as may be reserved under the provision hereinafter mentioned), and which land has been duly certified by the Commissioner of Crown Lands as being unavailable for agricultural purposes, will be put up to public auction at the upset price of five shillings an acre, in accordance with the Land Regulations of the 4th March, 1853, and the additional regulations for the amendment and extension of the said regulations, recommended
