PROCLAMATION.

By John Davies Ormond, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, Session 12, No. 1, it is amongst other things enacted that the Superintendent may from time to time, by Proclamation, appoint Pounds and Poundkeepers at such places as he may think fit, and at any time to annul such appointment and make others.

Now, therefore, I, John Davies Ormond, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim that the stockyard erected, adjoining the premises and residence of William B. Hill, Poukawha, shall be a Public Pound, and do hereby appoint

William B. Hill
Poundkeeper of the said Pound.

Given under my hand and seal of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, this 11th day of December, 1872.

HAWKE’S BAY NATIVE LANDS ALIENATION COMMISSION.

It is expected that the Commissioners will hold their first Court at Napier about the beginning of February next.

In order to secure an early hearing, it is recommended that persons intending to prefer complaints under the Act, notify the same forthwith to Mr. Locke, Resident Magistrate at Napier.

The notices should state the names of the complainants, and briefly specify the transactions complained of, and the grounds of complaint.

The Provincial Government of Hawke’s Bay has been requested to publish all such notices, as early as possible, in the Provincial Government Gazette.

Rules of procedure will be published shortly.
