PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province
of Hawke's Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke's Bay, Session 12, No. 1, it is amongst other things enacted that the Superintendent may from time to time, by Proclamation, appoint Pounds and Poundkeepers at such places as he may think fit, and at any time to annul such appointment and make others.

Now, therefore, I, John Davies Ormond, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, do hereby appoint

John Armstrong Turner
Poundkeeper of the Public Pound,
situate at Meane.

Given under my hand and seal of the Province of Hawke's Bay, this 7th day of November, 1872.

Now, therefore, I, John Davies Ormond, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, do hereby proclaim that the respective person and place hereinafter mentioned shall be a Poundkeeper and Public Pound.

Napier, Nov. 6, 1872.

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED for general information that a Writ for the election of one Member to serve in the Provincial Council of Hawke's Bay for the Town of Napier having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," the Returning Officer has returned the said Writ, with a certificate that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the said Provincial Council for the said Town of Napier β€”
