✨ Proclamation and Errata

PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Provincial Reserved Bill Act, 1858,” it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure shall have any force within the Province, until the Superintendent shall signify, as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that his Excellency has assented to the same: And whereas certain Acts intituled—

“Hawke’s Bay Sheep Act, 1871;”

was passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay during last session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure.

Now, therefore, I, JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the above-mentioned Act has been duly laid before his Excellency the Governor, and, having received his assent, is, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly, and the “Hawke’s Bay Sheep Act, 1871,” before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke’s Bay, from the date of expiration or repeal of the “Provincial Acts Validation Act, 1870,” after notification of the Governor’s assent thereto in the New Zealand Gazette.

Dated this twentieth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.
