PROCLAMATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that on THURSDAY, the twenty-first day of September, 1871, immediately after the sale of Five Shilling Land, the Commissioner of Crown Lands will offer to public competition, under the provisions of the Land Regulations now in force in this Province, Town and Suburban Sections at Mahia that are referred to in the Schedule hereto annexed, and at the upset price mentioned therein.

Dated at Napier this 28th day of July, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Provincial Reserved Bill Act, 1858," it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure shall have any force within the Province until the Superintendent shall signify, as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same: And whereas certain Acts intituled

"Licensed Victuallers Act Amendment Act, 1871,"
"The Odd Fellows’ Hall Act,"
"The Volunteer Shed Bill,"

were passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay during last session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure.

Now, therefore, I, JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the above-mentioned Acts have been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and, having received his assent, are, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke’s Bay, from the date of this proclamation.

Dated this twentieth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

NOTICE TO RUNHOLDERS.

RUNHOLDERS who have not paid up their Assessments for 1870, are informed that unless such Assessments are paid forthwith such Licenses will be forfeited, and the Runs advertised to be re-let under the provisions of the Land Regulations in force in this Province.
