All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.

By Joseph Rhodes, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Provincial Reserved Bills Act, 1858," it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor's pleasure shall have any force within the Province until the Superintendent shall signify as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same: And whereas certain Acts intituled

"Credit Act, 1869,"
"Appropriation Act, 1869,"
"Artesian Well Act, 1869,"
"Lighthouse Reserve Leasing Act, 1869,"
"Immigration Board Act, 1869,"

were passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke's Bay during this session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor's pleasure:-

Now, therefore, I, Joseph Rhodes, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the abovementioned Acts have been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and, having received his assent, are, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke's Bay from the date of this Proclamation.

Dated this second day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
