PROCLAMATION.

By DONALD M’LEAN,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s
Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay,
Session 12, No. 1, it is amongst other things enacted that the Superintendent
may, from time to time, by proclamation, appoint public Pounds and Poundkeepers
at such places as he may think fit, and at any time to annul such appointments and
make others.

Now, therefore, I, DONALD M’LEAN, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s
Bay, do hereby annul the appointment of JOHN ALLANACH as Poundkeeper of the
public Pound at Maraekakaho, and do hereby appoint ABRAHAM SKILLICORN Pound-
keeper of the said public Pound situate at Maraekakaho.

Dated this 20th day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-
eight.

PROCLAMATION.

By DONALD M’LEAN, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Hawke’s
Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the “Educational Rates Act 1868,” it is enacted that the Superin-
tendent shall appoint proper persons to collect the rates to be collected by virtue of
the said Act: and whereas by a proclamation under my hand, and dated the fifth day of
November 1868, I did appoint THOMAS SCULLY as the proper person to collect the
said rates: and whereas it is expedient that THOMAS A. PEARSE should be appointed as
the person to collect the same in the place of the said Thomas Scully.

Now, therefore, I, the said Donald M’Lean, Superintendent as aforesaid, do hereby annul
and make void the said proclamation, dated the fifth day of November 1868, so far as the
said Thomas Scully is appointed to collect the rates under the Act before recited, and
do hereby proclaim and announce that I have appointed

THOMAS A. PEARSE

as collector of the said rates; and, further, I announce that the twentieth day of Septem-
ber last past was the day on which the said rate was and became payable.

Dated this 22nd day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-nine.
