every such delegation may from time to
time alter or revoke, and also that any such
delegation may be made to any person
holding office in or under the General Go-
vernment of New Zealand, or in or under
any Provincial Government thereof, by the
title of his office, and may be therein ex-
pressed to be made to such officer and his
successors in such office; and when so ex-
pressed to be made, the powers and au-
thorities thereby delegated shall from time
to time, until revocation thereof, be held
and exercised only by the person, for the
time being holding such office, and no other
person.
Now, therefore, I, Sir George Grey, the
Governor, by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the Colony,
do by this Order delegate unto
The Superintendent of the Province of
Auckland, and his successors in such
office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Taranaki, and his successors in such
office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Hawke's Bay, and his successors in
such office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Wellington, and his successors in
such office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Nelson, and his successors in such
office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Marlborough, and his successors in
such office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Canterbury, and his successors in
such office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Otago, and his successors in such
office,
The Superintendent of the Province of
Southland, and his successors in such
office,
such of the powers vested in me as Gover-
nor by Section 7 of the said Act, as ena-
ble me to erect, superintend, and maintain
harbour marks, buoys, lights, and beacons,
within the limits of any port or the ap-
proaches thereto, in the Province of which
for the time being he or any such successor
shall be Superintendent, subject however to
such directions as may from time to time
be issued by the Colonial Marine Engineer,
as to the size, position, and colour of such
harbour marks, buoys, lights, and beacons;
and do also delegate to the Superintendent
of the Province of Auckland, and his suc-
cessors in such office; the Superintendent of
the Province of Taranaki, and his succes-
sors in such office; the Superintendent of
the Province of Hawke's Bay, the Superintendent
cessors in such office; the Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington, and his succes-
sors in such office; the Superintendent of
the Province of Nelson, and his successors
in such office; the Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, and his succes-
sors in such office; the Superintendent of
the Province of Canterbury, and his suc-
cessors in such office; the Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, and his succes-
sors in such office; the Superintendent of
the Province of Southland, and his succes-
sors in such office, within the Province of
which for the time being he or any
of his successors shall be Superintendent,
the powers vested in me by Sections
12, 13, 17, and 42 of the said Act, to
have and exercise the said powers hereby
delegated so long only as each Superinten-
dent, or any such successor in office shall
continue and remain Superintendent of the
said Province, and no longer.

Medical Practitioners Act, 1867," is pub-
lished for general information.
Forms of application for registration
under "The Medical Practitioners Act,
1867," can be obtained by applying to the
undermentioned Assessor, or to the Regis-
trar of the Medical Board in Wellington.
All persons desirous of having their
names entered on the forthcoming Regis-
ter, must make application prior to the
ninth day of April, 1868.

ary 23, 1868, is republished for general
information.

STAMP DUTIES.—NOTICE.—There being
reason to suppose that persons are in the
habit of giving and accepting unstamped
receipts as acquaintances for moneys paid by
cheque, under the belief that the stamp
borne by the cheque exonerates the receipt
from liability to stamp duty,—the public
are cautioned against the adoption of this
practice.
Such receipts are inadmissible as evi-
dence of the payment of money until pro-
perly stamped, and every person signing or
causing the signature of such receipt is lia-
ble to a penalty of Ten pounds for each
offence.
