Hawke's Bay

All public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signatures thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

Vol. IX.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor DONALD MCLEAN, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS, by an Act of the Provincial Council of Hawke's Bay, intituled "The Provincial Council Powers Act, 1866," it is provided that the Superintendent may, with the signification of the Provincial Council, and until the Superintendent shall have any further powers herein specified, and with the advice and consent of the Governor, and provided that the Governor has assented to the same, bring into operation Acts intituled:-

"The Volunteer Land Act, 1865."
"The Certificate Act 1866."
"The Appropriation Act, 1866."
"The Hawke's Bay Roads Act, 1866."
"The Act Amendment Act, 1866."
"The Education Act, 1866."
"The Creditors' Remedies Act, 1866."

Now, therefore, I, DONALD MCLEAN, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, do hereby, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, and with the advice and consent of the Governor's Executive Council, and with the assent of the Governor, as required by the said Act, do hereby notify that the several Acts hereinbefore enumerated were duly brought into operation by the Superintendent, with the assent of the Governor, as required by the said Act, on the day of the date under my hand and the Public Seal of the Province of Hawke's Bay, at Napier, this 14th day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.
