THE following extract from the New Zealand Gazette, No. 15, dated Friday, March 15, 1867, is re-published for general information.

IT is hereby notified that the Native Title has been extinguished over the block of land whereof the boundaries are mentioned or described in the Schedule hereunto annexed.

PROVINCE OF HAWKE’S BAY.—OTUMATAI BLOCK.

Estimated to contain 4470 acres.

Boundaries—The boundary commences at Withanga, thence to the Waikare River, thence to Te Koau, thence to the mouth of Matahourua, thence to the mouth of Mangeongeo, following up the Mangeongeo till it strikes the boundary of the first sale of land to the Queen, namely: the Moeangiangi Block, thence following that boundary to Otumatai, here it runs out to the sea, turns and follows the sea-coast to Withanga, containing in admeasurement four thousand four hundred and seventy acres, more or less, and known by the name of Otumatai.
