PROCLAMATION.

By Joseph Rhodes, Esq., Deputy
Superintendent of the Province
of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands
of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand,
intituled “The Provincial Reserved
Bills Act, 1858,” it is provided that
no Bill reserved for the signification of
the Governor’s pleasure shall have any
force within the Province until the
Superintendent shall signify as therein
specified that it has been laid before
the Governor, and that His Excellency
has assented to the same: And whereas
certain Acts intituled—

“The Representation Act of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, 1866,”
“The Hawke’s Bay Racecourse Act,
1866,”
“The Hawke’s Bay Agricultural Society Act, 1866,”
“The Public Park and Botanical
Garden Act,”
“The Harbor Reserves Act, 1866,”
“Public Reserves Administration Act
1866,”
“The Diversion of Roads Act, 1866,”
“The Hawke’s Bay Grammar School
Act, 1866,”
“The Appropriation Act, 1866-7,”

were passed by the Provincial Council
of Hawke’s Bay during the late session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure.

Now, therefore, I, Joseph Rhodes,
Deputy Superintendent of the Province
of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim
and notify that the abovementioned
Acts have been duly laid before His
Excellency the Governor, and having
received his assent, are under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to in force within
the Province of Hawke’s Bay, from
the date of the proclamation.

Dated at Napier, this twenty-first
day of January, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-seven.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Joseph Rhodes, Esq., Deputy
Superintendent of the Province
of Hawke’s Bay.

UNDER and in pursuance of the
powers vested in me by the Public Reserves Administration Act, Session
XI., No. 6, 1866, of the Province
of Hawke’s Bay, I hereby notify for
public information that all that piece
or parcel of land enumerated in the
Schedule hereunder mentioned will be
offered for sale by public auction, under the said Act, at the Crown Lands
Office, Napier, on Monday, the 29th
day of April, 1867, at noon.

1867, No. 2, are re-published for
general information:—

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, the tenth day of January, 1867.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The Marine Act,
1866,” it is enacted that the
Governor may, by Order in Council,
from time to time, delegate all or any
of the powers and authorities vested in
him by the said Act unto any person or
persons, for any period, and subject to
any regulations, restrictions, or stipulations which may be specified in such
Order, and every such delegation may
from time to time alter or revoke:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Bath, the
Governor, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, do by this order, delegate
unto

DONALD McLEAN, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of
Hawke’s Bay, such of the powers
vested in me as Governor by section
seven of the said Act as enable me to
erect, superintend, and maintain harbour-marks, lights, and beacons, now
or hereafter to be placed within the
limits of any port in the Province of
Hawke’s Bay, or the approaches thereto,
subject however to such directions
as may from time to time be issued by
the Colonial Marine Engineer, as to the
size, position, and colour of such harbour-marks, lights, and beacons; and
to appoint and suspend or remove Port
or Harbour Masters, and other officers
of ports or harbours within the Province of Hawke’s Bay; and to define
and regulate the conduct and duties of
Port or Harbour Masters, and other
persons employed in carrying out the
objects of “The Merchant Shipping
Act, 1854,” and of “The Marine Act,
1866,” within the said Province; and
also, within the said Province, the
powers vested in me by clauses ten,
eleven, fifteen, and thirty-seven of the
said Act.
