His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

JAMES FRASER,
of Wairoa, in the Province of Hawke's Bay, Esquire, to be a Justice of the Peace for the Colony of New Zealand.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

JAMES FRASER, Esq., J.P.
of Wairoa, in the Province of Hawke's Bay, to be a Resident Magistrate.

THE following Notice of an intended alteration in the hours of business in the Register of Deeds Office, Napier, is published for general information.

Napier, Feb. 17, 1866.

By virtue of the powers in me vested by the "Deeds Registration Amendment Act, 1863," I do hereby order that, on and after the 1st day of March next, the Register Office for the Province of Hawke's Bay shall be open to the public daily (Sundays, Saturdays, and public holidays excepted) from 11 o'clock a.m. to 1 o'clock p.m., and from 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock p.m., and on Saturdays, from 11 o'clock a.m. to 2 o'clock p.m.
