PROCLAMATION.

By DONALD M\'LEAN, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke\'s Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS I, DONALD M\'LEAN, Esq., Superintendent as aforesaid, did by a Proclamation under my hand dated the eleventh day of October, 1866, direct Lieut.-Colonel George Stoddart Whitmore, the officer commanding the Napier Regiment of Militia, to draw out, for actual service,—

  1. All the men of the 1st and 2nd classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, known as companies Nos. 1 and 2, Napier Town.

  2. All the men known as the Napier Volunteers—Capt. Buchanan\'s company.

  3. All the men of the 1st and 2nd classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, known as company No. 4, Napier Country district.

  4. All the men of the 1st and 2nd classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, known as company No. 3, Clive.

And whereas it is expedient to revoke and annul the said Proclamation; Now, therefore, I, the said Donald M\'Lean, do hereby revoke, annul and make void the Proclamation as from the date hereof, nevertheless ratifying and confirming all acts and deeds that the said Lieut.-Colonel George Stoddart Whitmore or any person or persons by his order or direction shall have lawfully done in pursuance of the said Proclamation hereinbefore recited.

Given under my hand in Napier, this 13th day of October, 1866.
